We often heard about the power of crystals as a source of healing power.

But what about crystals/stones that give physical protection power?

This article discuss a few of those crystals that purportedly give physical protection power to the wearer.

1. Black Tourmaline:

• provides a protective shield against all negative energies. Most beneficial of all black stones.
• people who felt things were not going right for them,or those who have jealous neighbors or friends who always have a bad effect on them, placed a black Tourmaline in the entrance of the house and usually felt a great improvement.
• from the spiritual side, it teaches us that life must have form to become a part of manifestation; helps with dreams and abstract thoughts by making them more real.

2. Smoky Quartz

• much like Black Tourmaline. Provides a shield of protection.
• was worn by ancient priests and priestnessess in the mystery temples
• symbolizes the deeper truth
• from the spiritual side, it teaches us light within the darkness. Aids our inner search so we can integrate and transform our shadows in light.

3. Malachite

• one of the most ancient documented stones.Was used throughout history due to the powerful healing and transformational qualities.The Egyptian elite used the Malachite as a central power source. Was thought to be a powerful cameo especially for infants who had Malachite attached to their cribs in order to repel evil spirits and bring good sleep
• during the Middle Ages, the Germans presumed that the Malachite provided protection against failure and when broken was a warning of a coming disaster!
• placing a sun shaped Malachite as a cameo was used as a powerful protection against evil spirits, snakes and witchcraft.
• the Italians presumed that the circles that resemble an eye provided protection from the evil eye.
• placing Malachite in the bedroom might prevent nightmares.
• protects against accidents by absorbing the brunt of the accident by cracking or breaking. Incidentally, people have related how their Malachite broke while holding it. After a day or two, they were involved in an accident where they were unhurt. The stone “took” the brunt of the accident upon itself.

4. Petrified Wood

• this is from petrified tree
• the Native Americans used this stone as protection against accidents, wounds and infections
• provides physical energy and keep oneself grounded and balance.
• provides protection against injury.

5. Cats Eye

• use to repel the evil eye
• in Asia, it was believed to make the person wearing it invisible to enemies.
• in Sri Lanka, was used for protection against witches
• in Ancient Jewish writings, it is mentioned as a unique powerful stone that provides protection
• provides protection from negative energies especially those coming from people who are envious
